The Cardiac Imaging Core Lab (CICL) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital seeks an Echo Analyst to assist in high-level research relating to echocardiographic analysis. This role supports significant international clinical trials, ensuring high-quality data management and providing echocardiographic expertise. Candidates will have opportunities for publication and contribute to innovative research methodologies in cardiology.
The Cardiac Imaging Core Lab (CICL), Directed by Scott D. Solomon, MD, is an academic research organization located within the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a Harvard-affiliated hospital. Through close collaboration with academic, NIH, and industry partners, the CICL supports a wide range of activities including echocardiographic study design, analysis, and central echo core lab operations for primarily large-scale international clinical trials. There are approximately 30+ clinical trials ongoing at any given time with a typical volume of 1000 – 1500 echos received each month.
Reporting to the CICL Technical Director and working under the supervision of Harvard Faculty Directors, the Echo Analyst is an integral member of the CICL and assists with high-level, complex research including but not limited to echocardiographic analysis and data quality assurance. The Echo Analyst will have the opportunity to interact with research collaborators within other Harvard departments and at other institutions across the U.S. and other countries around the world. A motivated individual in this position may contribute to scientific publications and presentations at scientific meetings and will help investigate novel methods and technologies in the CICL’s area of research.
