Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Telemetry Technician to monitor and interpret ECGs under RN supervision. The role involves ensuring accurate rhythm interpretations, communicating changes promptly, and documenting findings on required forms within a busy hospital setting.

Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED, 3–6 months of related experience, and basic Dysrhythmia training with Telemetry certification. The position offers benefits and full-time hours at our New Jersey facility.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Dysrhythmia course completion and Telemetry Technician certification test.
• 3–6 months experience preferred.
• Knowledge of dysrhythmia and heart blocks; SPO2 monitoring and alarm response.
• Strong organizational and interprofessional skills.
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and prioritize work.
• Ability to operate electronic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Continuously observes and interprets ECG monitors.
• Identifies changes and communicates them to the RN; notifies staff of monitor problems.
• Documents calculations and interpretation on required forms.
• Adheres to safety standards and proper handling of equipment.
• Records information on department forms as needed.
• Supports orientation and performance improvement activities within the department.
