Job summary

Lone Star College seeks an adjunct Electrocardiography Technician instructor to teach courses at multiple times and locations, supporting student success in this allied health program.

The role requires national ECG certifications, a current BLS certificate, and relevant ECG work experience. The instructor will engage learners, prepare lessons, and maintain professional relationships within a collaborative college environment.

Qualifications

• National EKG/ECG/CET/CCT certification or equivalent is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• At least three years of documented work experience performing ECGs with advanced knowledge in telemetry, Holter monitoring, and cardiac stress testing.
• At least 6 months of ECG teaching, mentoring, or field training experience.

Responsibilities

• Teaches Electrocardiography Technician courses at various times and locations.
• Creates engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material.
• Submits required college reports and forms in a timely manner.
• Follows a course syllabus and institutional guidelines.
• Advises students before/after class or by appointment and via electronic communication.
