Job summary

Nissha Medical Technologies is seeking a skilled press equipment operator in New York. You will set up and operate high-speed presses, ensure product quality, and maintain efficiency while adhering to safety standards.

The role includes processing tasks, quality sign-offs, and coordination with Maintenance, Warehouse, and Quality teams. You will review tickets, verify inks and dies, manage materials, and perform routine maintenance.

Qualifications

  • GED or High School diploma.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in printing.
  • Experience with Flexographic.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and independently operate Press Equipment including Mark Andy's, Flexographic, Delta and Herma, managing the manufacturing processes associated with the assigned equipment with an emphasis on productivity, quality, safety, and good housekeeping
  • Manage all processes associated with Press Operation.
  • Perform processing tasks including die cutting, perfing (marginal and cross), and punching.
  • Perform other tasks associated with the printing process including rewinding, unwinding, slitting, folding (fixed and variable), packaging tasks, etc.
  • Review job tickets and verify stock, inks, and dies are available and used as specified.
  • Complete required paperwork and quality sign offs.
  • Inspect finished product for any imperfections or irregularities making adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain running speeds, tension, and registration, of presses while checking for quality.
  • Perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance tasks on printing equipment
  • Communicate with Press Operators, Team Leads, and Supervisors on production issues, needs, and recommendations to improve production effectiveness and efficiency, including safety recommendations.
  • Interpret production paperwork for accurate product production and shipment and prepare finished product for shipment.
  • Manage supplies and materials needed for production on assigned equipment.
  • Use required measuring instruments (scales, micro scales, calipers, and densitometer).
  • Ensure compliance with company safety rules and policies including OSHA and ISO requirements.
  • Communicate and coordinate as necessary with other departments including maintenance, warehouse, quality, etc.
  • Perform all tasks in Oracle for work orders, declaring raw materials, moving production to quality que and checking inventory.

Nissha Medical Technologies is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees. The pay range for this position is $25-$30/hour plus a $2.50/hour shift differential. The successful candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, and experience will inform their specific compensation.
