Job summary

Colorado State University’s Early Childhood Center seeks an Early Childhood Education Support Coordinator to assist the Administrative Team in operating the center in line with ECC policies and Colorado licensing, and to meet NAEYC accreditation standards.

The role includes mentoring teachers, providing pedagogical and family support, and substituting for teachers as needed. The position emphasizes leadership and collaboration within CSU’s lab school community.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree required in a related field.
• Director Qualified by the State of Colorado or ability to obtain this qualification.
• Colorado Early Childhood Professional /PDIS level IV or above or ability to obtain this certification.
• Previous experience in early childhood classrooms.
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make well-reasoned decisions.
• CPR/First Aid certified.

Responsibilities

• Assist Administrative Team in operating the center per ECC policies and Colorado licensing requirements.
• Serve as the Director Qualified staff member when the Director or Assistant Director are unavailable.
• Mentor and coach teachers in behavioral, environmental, pedagogical, and family support areas.
• Fill in for teachers as needed for scheduled and unscheduled absences.
• Identify, coordinate, and lead professional development opportunities for staff and CSU students at the center.
