Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree: Occupational Therapy (Required)
• CPR/First Aid Certification (American Heart Association)
• NBCOT Certification - National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
• Occupational Therapy Registration - Colorado Department of Regulatory Affairs (DORA)
• Special Services Provider License - Colorado Department of Education

Responsibilities

• Performs screenings and evaluations to identify motor deficits affecting school functioning.
• Provides reports and maintains records for students receiving OT intervention.
• Guides teachers and staff on observing motor, sensory, and perceptual deficits impacting education.
• Collaborates with outside agencies and service providers as appropriate.
• Documents health-related services in Medicaid documentation system for DCSD reimbursement.
• Delivers direct and indirect OT interventions in the educational setting.
• Participates in IEP development, goals, accommodations/modifications related to student needs.
