Job summary

Jefferson County Public Schools seeks a paraeducator to support students with disabilities in Exceptional Child Education classrooms. You will assist in implementing individual education plans and help maintain a safe, structured learning environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 48 college hours or equivalent, and Kentucky Paraeducator credentials. Training and district ECE in-service are provided as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required and validated by exam/credentials.
• Minimum college coursework: 48 semester hours or equivalent.
• Must pass Kentucky Paraeducator Assessment or equivalent credential.

Responsibilities

• Assists in implementing each student’s individualized education plan.
• Helps establish and maintain a safe, structured learning environment.
• Demonstrates willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities.
• Supports Exceptional Child Education programs as assigned.
