Job summary

Jefferson County Public Schools seeks a qualified teacher for ECE/Special Education to implement consistent instructional programs and conduct norm-referenced assessments. A Master's degree or higher and Kentucky IECE certification are required, along with strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

Kentucky Teacher Certificate in Special Education or IECE Certification.
Master's degree or higher.
Three (3) years of successful experience as a teacher or other equivalent professional experience.
Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team situation.
Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist District staff in implementing consistent and appropriate ECE instructional programs.
Conduct standardized norm-referenced and criterion-referenced assessments for children suspected of needing special education.
Participate in pre-referral, referral, assessment, placement, and follow-up activities.
Assist the director in collecting and compiling data for evaluation and placement of children, as well as for District, state and federal reports.
