Job summary

RTX's Effector Subsystem Products Team in Huntsville is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join as an ECAD designer, responsible for PCB and CCA layouts from conception to manufacturing. You will develop schematics and Gerber data for suppliers, using Xpedition Enterprise and BluePrint-PCB.

You will work with Electrical, Mechanical and Producibility teams to ensure producible, cost-effective designs, in an onsite role requiring the ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or STEM.
  • Experience or coursework in analog or digital PCB design.
  • Familiarity with IPC 6012/6013 and DFM rules is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design PCB from conception to manufacturing.
  • Create PCB/CCA schematics for suppliers.
  • Capture schematics, place components, route traces, generate Gerber/ODB++ files.
  • Collaborate across Electrical, Mechanical, Test, and Producibility teams.

The Effector Subsystem Products Team at Raytheon is seeking a Electrical Engineer to join our team as an Electrical Computer Aided Designer Engineer (ECAD).Our Mission is to develop best in industry technologies that align product capabilities to the needs of our customer. What You Will Do:
  • Responsible for Printed Circuit Board (PCB) designs from conception to manufacturing
  • Creation of the PCB, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA), and Schematic drawings for suppliers
  • Schematic Capture, Component Placement, Routing of Traces, Gerber/ODB++ file creation
  • Utilizing software such as Siemens: Xpedition Enterprise and DownStream Technologies: BluePrint-PCB
  • Design layouts include Rigid, Flex, and Rigid-Flex assemblies
  • Work designs include full designs, re-spins, drawing updates, change notices, copper changes, and process improvement projects within and outside own discipline
  • Daily interface with various engineering levels along with different engineering disciplines including, but not limited to Electrical, Mechanical, Components, Test, and Producibility Engineering disciplines to ensure that the overall design requirements are captured, keeping cost, cycle time, and producibility in mind
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or in Science, Technology, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Experience or course work in Analog or Digital design.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Working knowledge of Analog, Digital design including DDR, specific experience with RF, Power, and mixed technology, including multi-layer designs with High Density Interconnect (HDI) technology
  • Use of Valor NPI, Design for Manufacturing rule sets, other Design Rule Checking software
  • Ability to understand and interpret drawings as they relate to PCB’s and CCA’s
  • Familiarity with IPC 6012 & IPC 6013

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
