Job summary

Hoke County Schools, Rockfish Hoke Elementary in Raeford, North Carolina, seeks an EC Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time position requires NC licensure or residency licensure and EC certification, with responsibility for IEP development and direct special education instruction.

The teacher will implement instructional plans aligned with district goals, collaborate with parents and care teams, and maintain records in accordance with NC procedures.

Qualifications

• Must hold or have the ability to obtain North Carolina Teacher Licensure OR
• Must meet the qualifications for Residency Teacher Licensure
• Must hold or have the ability to obtain EC Certification
• Must have knowledge of curriculum
• Must have knowledge of referral and placement procedures

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements an instructional plan aligned with curricular goals and the students’ IEPs.
• Develops IEPs for students with disabilities and updates them using assessments and progress monitoring.
• Provides direct special education instruction to identified students.
• Uses varied teaching methods and adapts materials to meet student needs.
• Maintains classroom management plans and monitors behavior to meet IEP/BIP goals.
• Communicates with parents regarding student progress via periodic reports.
• Acts as case coordinator and collaborates with caregivers, school staff, and parents.
• Maintains student records per North Carolina procedures.
