Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Pass drug test, background check, and TB test prior to employment.
• Meet ESSA requirements: Associate’s degree or 30 college credits or WorkKeys levels.
• Valid NC driver’s license and driving record enabling NCCDL.
• Ability to obtain and maintain bus driver certification and comply with safety regulations.
• Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, and 20 lbs constantly.

Responsibilities

• Support classroom teachers with instruction and supervision.
• Provide one-on-one and small group support for students.
• Supervise students in classrooms, hallways, cafeterias, playgrounds, and on field trips.
• Assist with clerical tasks and instructional preparation.
• Operate a school bus and ensure student safety on trips.
