Job summary

Asheville City Schools seeks an Exceptional Children's Private School Teacher with NC licensure to provide specialized instruction in a private school setting. This contract/as-needed role requires planning lessons aligned with IEPs and coordinating with the Private School Coordinator.

Qualifications

• A four-year degree from an accredited institution with NC certification in the area of Exceptional Children.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and present instruction for EC students/IEP-aligned objectives.
• Maintain accurate records to document student performance and coordinate with the Private School Coordinator.
• Manage instructional time and student behavior to maximize learning.
• Develop IEP goals and coordinate case management of EC caseload.
• Collaborate with families, staff, and private school stakeholders to support students’ educational and social development.
