Responsibilities

• Assists teacher with executing instruction and evaluating its effectiveness.
• Monitors safety and well-being of students; encourages self-esteem and independence.
• Maintains classroom discipline and records time out and in-class suspensions.
• Provides one-on-one assistance and reinforces instructions; conducts small group activities.
• Maintains standardized records and documents student progress.
• Performs clerical duties and maintains class files; operates classroom equipment.
• Participates in staff development workshops.
• Drives a school bus when needed to operate the transportation system.
