Koontz Elementary School in Salisbury, NC is seeking an EC General Curriculum Teacher to provide specialized education services and develop Individual Education Programs in line with state and federal regulations. The teacher will create adaptive lesson plans and monitor progress for students with disabilities.

The role requires collaboration with families, development of IEPs, and maintaining EC records. This is a 10-month, full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• This position requires a degree in special education and a valid NC DPI general curriculum certification.
• Ability to develop and implement IEPs for students with disabilities.
• Experience with inclusive settings and data collection for progress monitoring.

Responsabilités

• Develops and implements an instructional plan aligned with IEPs and school goals.
• Develops IEPs for students with disabilities and updates as needed.
• Provides direct special education instruction to identified students.
• Employs varied teaching methods and adapts materials to meet needs.
• Monitors student behavior, maintains classroom discipline, and records progress.
• Communicates with parents regarding student progress and needs.
• Acts as case coordinator with caregivers and support professionals.
