Job description

Job Title: Procurement Analyst

ARES is seeking a Procurement Analyst to provide day-to-day administration of strategic sourcing vehicles for the Enterprise Business Management Office (EBMO) in support of the NASA Enterprise Multimedia and Integrated Technical Services (eMITS) contract. eMITS is the Agency's enterprise-level contract creating and delivering multimedia and technical communications through the internet, digital platforms, and IT management for NASA's Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and Office of Communications (OCOMM). It covers activities from photographing rocket launches to producing videos, managing IT, and sharing NASA's message via social media.

Responsibilities:
  • Engage with customers to understand and clarify their IT acquisition requirements.
  • Collect and verify funding information for acquisitions and renewals.
  • Communicate process information to stakeholders and provide status updates.
  • Track customer requests and monitor their status by contract.
  • Coordinate annual hardware/software maintenance renewals.
  • Prepare and submit purchase requisition documentation.
  • Monitor Purchase Requests (PR) status and ensure timely awards.
  • Convert customer requirements into official requests for quotes per contract terms.
  • Create estimates for future enterprise agreements and communicate funding expectations.
  • Provide materials about hardware/software enterprise agreements to new customers.
  • Add new customers to communication lists and manage team SOPs.
  • Identify issues, escalate as needed, and generate reports for stakeholders.
  • Recommend process improvements, automation, and data collection strategies.
  • Provision customers with logical access to assets via NASA Asset Management System.
  • Coordinate asset-specific roles, user access, and manufacturer portal information.
  • Travel to NASA Centers for badging and IT equipment issuance as needed.
Qualifications:

Education & Experience: BS or BA in any field with 10 years of related experience.

Skills & Competencies: Proven experience in IT acquisitions, managing IT assets in cloud applications like ServiceNow, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Teams, strong organizational skills, excellent communication, attention to detail, and proficiency in MS Office 365, SharePoint, and Box.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of IT hardware configurations.
  • Knowledge of IT asset management best practices.
  • FAR knowledge.
