Job summary

Transforming Age Eastmont in Lincoln, NE, is seeking a part-time server to join our team. This role pays $15.50 per hour with a 4:30pm–7:30pm shift. Assist residents with meal selections, take orders, and ensure smooth dining service within a caring, family-like environment.

Ideal candidates are at least 19 years old with prior server experience and POS experience. A background check and pre-employment screenings are required, with additional health screenings as required by state guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years old.
• Prior server experience preferred.
• 6+ months in long term care, home care or related field preferred.
• Experience with POS systems preferred.
• Must have effective English verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with meal selection and menu orders.
• Present menus, answer questions and relay orders to kitchen.
• Deliver meals quickly and assist residents.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables for next service.
• Assist with kitchen duties as needed.
• Observe residents to ensure dining area safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed:

• At least 19 years of age.
• Previous server experience highly preferred.
• 6 months or more in long term care, home care or related field preferred.
• Software experience using POS (point-of-sale) transactional systems
• Must possess effective English verbal and written communication skills.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen, may need to complete other pre-employment screenings such as physical and TB test as required by state/local guidelines.

Our Servers:

• Assist residents with meal selection, which may include ordering from menu, buffet/a la carte item selection, and assistance with any buffet stations (e.g. salad bar, breakfast bar.) as needed.
• Present menu to residents, answers questions and makes suggestions regarding meal choices.
  Records orders and relays to kitchen production area. Is knowledgeable about menu choices, including ingredients and preparation methods.
• Works efficiently and quickly delivers food to residents, aiding them as needed.
• Clears, cleans, and resets tables for next meal service.
• May assist with kitchen duties (including such tasks as salad bar, soup service, portion desserts, brew coffee or other services as needed.
• Assists with clearing table.
• Observes residents to ensure safety in our dining areas.
