Job summary

Oregon Museum of Science & Industry (OMSI) seeks a Regional Engagement Strategist to act as an ambassador to Eastern Oregon communities, strengthening partnerships and delivering engaging, science-based programming.

The role requires developing regional STEAM programs, coordinating with partners, and ensuring DEI and inclusion across initiatives. Travel within Eastern Oregon is involved, with collaboration across OMSI teams to expand access to learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years creating, synthesizing, and delivering educational content to diverse audiences.
• Experience with classroom or program management and time management.
• Experience working with people from diverse backgrounds in education programs for students and families.

Responsibilities

• Develop, modify, and deliver OMSI STEAM programming for school audiences, families, and the general public.
• Collaborate with area partners to co-develop and deliver joint programming.
• Present OMSI statewide engagement programs with DEI, access, and inclusion in mind.
• Expand programming capacity with local partners to serve the community.
• Establish and maintain OMSI partnerships within assigned region.
• Serve as liaison between region and OMSI to coordinate opportunities and growth.
• Contribute to statewide engagement programming budgets and strategy.
• Support OMSI's Equity Action Framework and Learning Experiences Framework.
