Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System in Idaho seeks a Development Officer to lead its eastern Oregon philanthropy program. You will nurture donor relationships, grow campaigns, recognize donors, and organize special events, while supporting regional philanthropy initiatives for SAHS.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years in fundraising, with strong leadership and exceptional communication skills. A collaborative mindset and ability to work with hospital and marketing teams are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required and at least ten years' related professional experience.
  • 7–10 years in program development, project management and leadership.
  • 5 years of experience in special events in a professional or volunteer capacity.
  • 5+ years of fund-raising experience in non-profit sector preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and supervises the eastern Oregon Foundation boards/committees.
  • Develops short-term objectives and long-range goals with board approval.
  • Serves as ex-officio member of standing committees and guides donor recognition procedures.
  • Collaborates with Marketing to create outreach and publicity programs.
  • Leads fundraising events and maintains major donor portfolios.
