Job summary

Harris Teeter seeks a Refrigeration Technician II to provide maintenance and repair for refrigeration and HVAC equipment across Eastern NC stores. You will drive to assigned stores, perform preventive tasks, and manage parts inventory while documenting work orders.

The role requires an EPA-608 certification, a HS diploma or equivalent, and at least 6 months of HVAC/refrigeration experience, with a valid driver's license and flexible scheduling. Training supports safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• EPA-608 Certification required.
• At least 6 months HVAC, refrigeration and electrical experience.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Must hold and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and overtime.
• Experience reading engineering drawings, manuals and schematics.
• Ability to use control manufacturers' software.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance to building systems.
• Drive independently to stores daily as assigned.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks on buildings and equipment.
• Replace compressors, large motors and components.
• Perform leak checks and refrigerant management.
• Repair systems and troubleshoot equipment.
• Maintain an organized inventory of parts.
• Operate service vehicles and related equipment safely.
• Communicate with store personnel about equipment use and overtime.
• Complete repair, labor, parts purchasing and usage documentation.
• Adhere to department and company policies and use the work order system.
