Mountain Air Cargo is seeking an experienced MRO Business Manager to oversee active commercial operations of the Repair Station. You will support the COO and GM, drive growth, profitability, and customer relations both on-site and off-site.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of MRO management experience.
  • Knowledge of aircraft parts, hardware and fasteners.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the COO and General Manager in supporting and operating the Repair Station.
  • Interface with customers and accounting for invoicing and pro forma invoices.
  • Interface with customers on ongoing business and financial aspects.
  • Assist in preparing customer quotes and schedules.
  • Aid in updating the business plan with aircraft modification programs and market opportunities.
  • Oversee maintenance and repair of Repair Station facilities and IT equipment.
  • Prepare and finalize complex correspondence, legal documents, memoranda and reports.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements as needed.
  • Assist in work order audits for budgeting purposes and monitor revenues/expenses.
  • Ensure safety compliance and proper airport security badge handling.
  • Collaborate with department managers on production issues including quality and processes.
  • Develop plans for forecasting and marketing strategies for aircraft repair.

POSITION PURPOSE:

The MRO Business Manager is responsible to the Chief Operating Officer for the management of the active commercial operations of the Repair Station. Responsible for assisting the Chief Operating Officer and General Manager in the overall operation of the Repair Station. Support in the growth of the Repair Station business and in the support of the customers. This includes strategic planning and operational profitability in the sales and development of new products. Support of customers includes on-site and off-site customer relations.

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
  • Assists the Chief Operating Officer and General Manager in the support and operations of the company
  • Interfaces between the Shop and Accounting for preparation of Customer interim Invoicing and or Pro Forma Invoices for customers to pay from prior to project completion and or departure.
  • Interfaces with customers on an ongoing basis for business and financial aspects.4.
  • Assists the General Manager in preparation of Customer quotes and schedules as required.
  • Aids the COO in the preparation and update of the business plan that includes specific aircraft Modification and Alteration Programs as well as market opportunities for the Repair Station.
  • Oversees the maintenance and repair of the Repair Station facilities and IT equipment.
  • Compose and finalize complex correspondence, legal documents, memorandums, emails, proposals, and reports. Manage personnel under his direction.
  • Negotiate various contracts and agreements, using experience and judgment to determine what should be included in each document.
  • Assist in basic Work Order audit functions for budgetary use in the operation of the Repair Station.
  • Monitor revenues and expenses to ensure compliance with any established budget.
  • Assist in the oversight that all personnel are operating in a safe environment.
  • Assist Management in issues of Policy and Procedure and assistance with transition of any new Policies and Procedures. Acts as Authorized Signatory person for airport security badges. Interfaces with the Transportation Security Personnel on all security concerns.
  • Assist in the completion of work orders, FAA paperwork and billing items.
  • Work with Department Managers on production issues, including quality, facilities, equipment and processes.
  • Develop plans for Forecasting and Marketing Strategies for the repair of aircraft, engines, components and equipment.
  • Is the first level of support for hardware and software troubleshooting for staff and administration concerning computers and network problems! Diagnoses and troubleshoots minor software and hardware problems; coordinates access to appropriate resources if the problem is larger in scope.
  • Assist in the function of maintaining instructions pertinent to safety are properly observed and all personnel under the Repair Station jurisdiction comply with and understand existing safety regulations.
  • Guide and/or direct and/or assist with any Legal Matters (Corporate or Liability).
  • Performs any task as may be delegated by management to assist in the function of the Company.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum one (5) year or more of MRO management experience
  • Knowledge of aircraft, accessories, components, fasteners, and other hardware.
SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • Knowledge and Experience with the FAR’s
  • Business acumen.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
  • None
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
  • Repair Station Manual training
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:
  • They may be exposed to extreme noise from turbine and jet engine aircraft.
  • Will handle dirty parts and lubricants.
  • Required to operate power vehicles, machinery, various hand tools, ground support equipment, forklift, etc.
