Saint Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), a nursing assistant, a patient care tech, or someone interested in becoming a nursing assistant and providing patient care. Candidates without certification or applicable experience will receive 6 weeks of full-time on-the-job training. After training, your schedule will be full-time with flexible self-scheduling. You will have the opportunity to help improve hospital throughput and capacity while enhancing the patient experience. Our nursing assistants make an impact on our patients' hospital stays daily by providing individualized care in a positive and supportive work environment. The Work:
  • Provides patient care under the supervision of an RN or LPN.
  • Performs direct and indirect patient care tasks.
  • Assists with activities of daily living such as bathing, hygiene, elimination, toileting, nutrition, feeding, hydration, ambulation, and positioning.
  • Anticipates the needs of the patient’s family proactively.
  • Individualizes and modifies care according to the patient’s needs.
  • Collaborates with other healthcare team members to enhance patient care.

To succeed, strong communication and time management skills are essential. We seek team-oriented Nursing Assistants eager to expand their skills and with a strong attention to detail. We offer opportunities for both entry-level and experienced CNAs, nursing assistants, and patient care techs. Even if you lack experience but are interested in providing patient care, the 6-week training will prepare you to perform confidently in your role.
