Job summary

JSI invites you to join our Permitting & Environmentals team in Lubbock, TX as an Easement Acquisition Agent, where you'll secure rights-of-way and permits to support broadband deployments.

You'll collaborate with engineers, landowners, and local agencies, maintain records, and handle contracts, with travel required. The role may be worked remotely in part, but on-site coordination is essential for field activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Real Estate, Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of two years in Right-of-Way & easement acquisition, real estate, or land services for telecom infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of eminent domain laws, real estate principles, title research, and land valuation.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings and construction plans to determine ROW and permitting needs.
• Identify and secure permits and easements from federal, state, county, city, and private landowners.
• Negotiate right-of-way acquisitions and other property interests for telecommunications operations.
• Serve as a liaison between clients, property owners, local agencies, and permitting entities.
• Maintain accurate and organized records of all transactions and documentation.
• Prepare and administer contracts and agreements with detailed records of transactions.
• Conduct field visits as required.

$28.00 - $32.00 / hour

Position Overview:

As an Easement Acquisition Agent, you will be responsible for securing and managing rights-of-way, permits, and land access agreements to support broadband infrastructure deployment. In this role, you will collaborate with engineers, surveyors, landowners, and local jurisdictions to ensure projects are executed efficiently and compliantly. This role may be worked remotely, but travel will be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings and construction plans, coordinating closely with engineering teams to determine ROW and permitting needs.
• Identify and secure the necessary permits and easements from federal, state, county, city, and private landowners.

• Familiarity with GIS and land management software is a plus.
