Job summary

Thompson Tractor Company in Tanner, AL is seeking an Earthmoving Shop Technician to repair and maintain earthmoving equipment, including engines, hydraulics, and electrical components. You will perform disassembly and reassembly, conduct diagnostics, and ensure safety standards in the shop.

The role requires at least one year of mechanical repair experience, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license. CDL/Med Card preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• A minimum of one year of mechanical repair experience or equivalent technical education.
• Med Card and CDL preferred.
• MVR required.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety standards and procedures.
• Plans and performs minor repairs with correct tools and procedures.
• Performs tasks on engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical components: remove/install, disassemble/reassemble, adjustments.
• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrates proper use of service information systems.
• Orders and returns parts for assigned jobs in a timely manner.
• Test and adjust components for optimal performance.
• Works independently in the shop.
