Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to be at the front line with customers, building strong patient relationships and supporting the pharmacy team.

The program offers an earning-while-learning pathway, pursuing PTCB certification, with training to develop clinical and operational skills and progress towards becoming a certified pharmacy technician.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Willing to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control preferred.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision, in accordance with regulations and company policies.
• Use pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Enter patient and drug information and help schedule workflow under supervision.
• Assist with inventory management and maintain pharmaceutical stock.
