Job summary

Walgreens is expanding its pharmacy technician roles into a patient-centric career path. As a Pharmacy Technician or Apprentice, you will interact with customers, support the pharmacist, and help deliver safe, accurate medications using the latest technology.

The Walgreens Pharmacy Technician Training Program offers an ASHP and Department of Labor recognized apprenticeship, guiding you toward PTCB certification and a portable credential to advance your healthcare career.

Qualifications

Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Assists the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and other duties.
Uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
Performs duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist and Store Manager including inventory and cash register responsibilities.
