Job summary

Locking Primary School in Weston-super-Mare seeks a Qualified Early Years Practitioner to join its EYFS provision for children aged 2-4 years. You will support planning, resource development, and high-quality teaching in a collaborative team.

The role requires Level 3 or higher childcare qualification, EYFS experience, and strong safeguarding, communication, and teamwork skills. The post is 24 hours per week during term time with INSET hours; salary is £15,471.31 pro rata.

Qualifications

• Level 3 or above childcare qualification is required.
• Experience with EYFS preferred but not essential.
• Empathy and enjoyment of working with children is essential.
• Good safeguarding knowledge and ability to support learning.

Responsibilities

• Work with nursery and preschool manager to resource and adapt planning.
• Support high-quality teaching and learning across subjects.
• Create stimulating learning environments to develop pupils’ knowledge.
• Collaborate with school community to uphold values and inclusivity.
