Job summary

Kids Planet Durham is seeking an Early Years Apprentice to join our welcoming nursery. You will be enrolled on a training programme through the Kids Planet Training Academy to gain a qualification in Early Years while you work.

As an apprentice you’ll learn to support, care for and inspire children from birth to five, while ensuring safeguarding and building strong family relationships. A nurturing, inclusive culture supports your growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum apprenticeship eligibility criteria including having lived in the UK for at least 3 years.
• Pass maths and English entry assessments.

Responsibilities

• Learn to support, care for and inspire children from birth to age five.
• Learn safeguarding of children in your care.
• Work as part of a successful team and build warm relationships with families.
• Liaise with parents on matters relating to their child.

What an Early Years Apprentice needs:

• To meet minimum apprenticeship eligibility criteria, including having lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years.

As a guide, Level 2 apprenticeships take approximately 15 months to complete, and Level 3 apprenticeships take approximately 18 months to complete.
