Job summary

Kohl's in Milwaukee is seeking a talented graphic designer to execute overarching design concepts in collaboration with copy and Marketing. You will address creative challenges and deliver visuals that support business goals within our established creative vision.

The role requires strong typography, color theory, and layout skills, plus MAC proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, XD, Illustrator, Acrobat, and Figma. Excellent presentation and communication abilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Graphic design degree or equivalent is required.
• Strong understanding of layouts, typography, composition, color and other design fundamentals.
• Proficiency on MAC with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, XD, Illustrator, Acrobat) and Figma.
• Ability to present creative ideas professionally to stakeholders.
• Excellent organization, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Job description

What You’ll Do

• Execute overarching design (look and feel) in conjunction with copy
• Solve creative challenges and build creative that delivers on business objectives and strategies
• Implement projects within established creative vision
• Collaborate with Marketing partners on all projects as necessary to develop creative solutions
• Capture customer needs across all channels and aspects of creative design
• Review all stages of the project with the Art Director/Manager
• Prepare creative presentation materials
• Collaborate with Project Management to keep the project on schedule and assist with timeline development
• Maintain job notes on critical design details

What Skills You Have

• Graphic Design Major or equivalent
• Strong understanding of layouts, typography, composition, color and other graphic design fundamentals
• MAC proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, Adobe Illustrator, Figma and Adobe Acrobat
• Demonstrated ability to present creative ideas in a professional manner
• Good organization, time management and multitasking capabilities
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
