Keyhorse Capital, the venture capital initiative of Kentucky Science & Technology Corporation (KSTC), is hiring a Venture Capital Analyst to support early-stage investment activity in Kentucky-based startups. The role is based in Kentucky, with a preference for candidates in Louisville, Lexington, or Northern Kentucky.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in venture capital or finance.
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling.
• Comfort working with databases and Google Workspace tools.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in business or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate inbound investment opportunities.
• Conduct research and financial analysis on prospective portfolio companies.
• Build and maintain financial models supporting investment decisions.
• Draft investment memos for the deal team.
• Manage and maintain data hygiene in the firm's deal-pipeline tracking systems.
• Network within Kentucky's startup and entrepreneurial community to support deal sourcing.
