Job summary

Wegmans Food Markets in Williamsville, NY is seeking a kitchen leader to guide a team of cooks, uphold recipes, and drive efficiency and quality across the line. This full-time role requires availability for mornings, afternoons, evenings including weekends, with shifts starting as early as 5am.

You will mentor staff, ensure food safety, and deliver a great customer experience through delicious, well-prepared dishes in a fast-paced, people-first environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of prep or line cook experience.
• Experience leading a team.
• Food safety and quality assurance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist the sous chefs in running the kitchen and overseeing the team.
• Follow recipes, use proper knife skills, and apply cooking techniques to ensure consistency.
• Share your knowledge and passion for food with customers by suggesting meal ideas using products from departments around the store.
• Manage employee performance, including training, feedback and development opportunities.
