Qualifications

• High School diploma (or equivalent) or technical school.
• Strong communication skills are required.
• Ability to work independently and manage meal service for 20 residents.

Responsibilities

• Handle, transport and plate food for residents, guests and employees.
• Plate food according to planned menu using standard recipes.
• Ensure proper portioning and garnishing.
• Assist kitchen staff as needed and perform duties per supervisor.
• Ensure sufficient food is prepped and ready for service.
• Communicate shortages or outages to supervisor.
• Maintain sanitation and proper food temperatures during service.
• Keep daily logs and documentation for meal services.
• Stock and clean stations for next shift.
• Follow food rotation policies and sanitation procedures.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and report any issues.
