Job summary

Michaels is seeking a store associate in Middletown, NY. You will help customers locate products, provide solutions, and ensure a fast checkout experience with proper cash handling.

You will also assist with online order processes like BOPIS and Ship From Store, and participate in truck unloading, stocking, and merchandising tasks. The role requires standing for long periods, lifting and moving stock, and complying with store policies.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Maintain in-stock store through recovery, returns handling, and restocking
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Follow SOPs and company policies to ensure compliance
• Interact positively with customers and act as a role model for team members
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
