General Purpose

The Retail Associate ensures a positive shopping experience by greeting customers, maintaining a clean work area, and proper merchandise presentation. The role involves performing various tasks across the store as needed, supporting customer service and operational goals.

Essential Functions

• Prioritize safety and practice safe behaviors.
• Create a safe shopping environment, maintain clear egress, and report hazards.
• Greet customers courteously, assist with merchandise, and handle inquiries professionally.
• Respond promptly to customer needs and issues, involving leadership when necessary.
• Support the company brand and perform cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code.
• Ensure store is organized, merchandise is replenished, and displays are maintained per guidelines.
• Understand loss prevention policies and safeguard company assets.
• Handle transactions accurately and efficiently, following all policies.
• Maximize productivity by following best practices and optimizing workflow.

Qualifications And Special Skills Required

Effective communication with customers and team members, basic math skills, and ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting.

Physical Requirements/Ada

• Operate store equipment as required.
• Stand, walk, and move around the store up to 100% of the time.
• Bend, squat, kneel, reach, and lift more than 25 pounds as needed.
• Use janitorial and store equipment safely.
• Stockroom shifts require lifting more than 20 pounds regularly.
