General Purpose

The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. They greet customers courteously, maintain a clean work area, ensure proper merchandise presentation, and perform various store functions as needed to meet customer service and operational goals.

Essential Functions

  • Prioritize safety by practicing safe behaviors and maintaining a secure shopping environment.
  • Provide friendly, professional service by greeting customers, assisting with merchandise, and handling inquiries courteously.
  • Respond promptly to customer needs and issues, escalating to Store Leadership when necessary.
  • Support the company brand and uphold integrity and confidentiality standards.
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure a tidy, safe, and welcoming store environment.
  • Assist with merchandise recovery and presentation to maintain store standards.
  • Understand and adhere to loss prevention policies and procedures.
  • Handle transactions accurately and efficiently, following all cash handling policies.
  • Demonstrate a sense of urgency and maximize productivity in daily tasks.

Qualifications And Special Skills Required

Effective communication with customers, colleagues, and leadership; basic math skills.

Physical Requirements/Ada

  • Ability to operate store equipment and spend up to 100% of time standing, walking, and moving.
  • Regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, reach, and stoop; occasionally push, pull, and lift over 25 pounds.
  • Work in stockrooms and use equipment like ladders and rolling racks.
