General Purpose

The Retail Associate ensures a positive shopping experience for customers by greeting, assisting, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role involves engaging in various tasks across store areas as needed to meet customer service and operational goals.

Essential Functions

• Prioritize safety and practice safe behaviors at all times.
• Maintain awareness to ensure a safe shopping environment, keeping aisles clear and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service, including greeting customers and assisting with merchandise.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries and issues, involving leadership when necessary.
• Support the company brand and perform cleaning and maintenance tasks to uphold store standards.
• Ensure merchandise is well-organized and replenished, and assist in merchandise presentation according to guidelines.
• Understand loss prevention policies and safeguard company assets.
• Handle transactions accurately and efficiently, following all policies.
• Demonstrate urgency and maximize productivity in daily tasks.

Qualifications And Skills

Effective communication, basic math skills, and the ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, and using store equipment.

Physical Requirements/ADA

• Ability to use store equipment including registers and PCs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
• For stockroom shifts, ability to lift more than 20 pounds regularly.
