General Purpose

The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate makes eye contact, smiles, and greets all Customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, efficiently follows all company best practice standards, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Associate performs various tasks in all store areas as needed to meet customer service and operational goals.

Essential Functions

• Prioritize safety and practice safe behaviors at all times.
• Maintain a safe and secure shopping environment, keep aisles clear, and report unsafe conditions.
• Treat all Customers and Associates with respect and courtesy; recognize fellow Associates.
• Assist Customers with merchandise, answer questions, and provide excellent service.
• Respond promptly to Customer Service calls and resolve issues courteously.
• Support the Company brand and uphold its standards.
• Perform cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.
• Adhere to dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
• Ensure merchandise is well-organized and replenished promptly.
• Expedite merchandise receipts to the sales floor and maintain familiarity with products.
• Follow Loss Prevention policies and safeguard company assets.
• Handle transactions accurately, including cash and credit card handling.
• Work efficiently, minimizing steps and maximizing productivity.

Qualifications and Skills

Effective communication skills, basic math skills, and ability to perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, and using store equipment.

Physical Requirements/Ada

• Ability to use store equipment and spend up to 100% of time standing and moving.
• Ability to lift over 25 pounds regularly, and over 20 pounds for stockroom shifts.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.
