General Purpose

The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring our Customers have a positive shopping experience. This includes greeting customers, maintaining a clean work environment, proper merchandise presentation, and performing various store functions as needed to meet customer service and operational goals.

Essential Functions

• Prioritize safety, maintaining awareness and practicing safe behaviors.
• Create a secure shopping environment, keep areas clear and report unsafe conditions.
• Greet customers courteously, assist with merchandise, and answer questions knowledgeably.
• Handle customer issues courteously, escalate to leadership when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and restocking supplies.
• Adhere to dress code and present a professional appearance.
• Ensure merchandise is received, organized, and presented according to company standards.
• Follow loss prevention policies and safeguard company assets.
• Handle transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and refunds.
• Perform tasks efficiently, minimizing steps and maximizing productivity.

Qualifications and Skills

Ability to communicate politely and effectively with customers and team members. Basic math skills required.

Physical Requirements/ADA

• Operate store equipment including registers and PCs.
• Stand, walk, bend, squat, and reach regularly; lift up to 25 pounds; push/pull equipment.
• For stockroom shifts, lift more than 20 pounds regularly.
