Job summary

LYNC Transportation Services is seeking a dependable Standby Driver to provide immediate morning route coverage for unplanned driver call-outs. This is a dedicated standby position with a 5:00 a.m. start time and a 5:00–8:00 a.m.

standby window, Monday through Friday. You will transport students and authorized passengers, follow safety policies, perform pre-trip inspections, and report route status to the transportation team.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Minimum three (3) years of licensed driving experience.
• Reliable transportation to report for the 5:00 a.m. start time.

Responsibilities

• Report for immediate deployment at the start of the standby shift.
• Provide emergency or short-notice route coverage for absences or disruptions.
• Safely transport students and other passengers on assigned routes and schedules.
• Follow all route instructions, passenger requirements, and safety procedures.
