Job summary

Halperns Steak and Seafood Company LLC in Orlando, FL is hiring a Freezer Putaway (Forklift Operator). The role supports receiving, logging and issuing materials to stockrooms and warehouses, with an early morning shift from 3:00am to 11:30am and pay starting at $16 per hour.

You will check goods against orders, inspect for damage and expiration, manage histamine controls for seafood, and operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required.
• Forklift certification required upon hire.
• High School or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives, logs and issues materials to stockroom or designated location.
• Checks goods received against bills of lading or purchase orders.
• Checks goods for damage and expiration dates.
• Identify histamine products (seafood only).
• Sorts, counts and checks received items.
• Maintains required clerical records.
• Operates warehouse equipment to move goods to storage area.
• Identify damaged packaging and/or cross contamination.
• Perform returns.
• Maintain and rotate cooler and freezer (USDA only).
• Inventory control (USDA only).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
