Job summary

Arcadia Care in Normal, IL is seeking a Cook responsible for food preparation in accordance with federal, state, and local standards to ensure high-quality meals for residents.

You will review menus, prepare meals and snacks on a 7am–1pm schedule, and assist in planning regular and special diet menus as prescribed by physicians and dietitians.

Qualifications

• One year dietary/food experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or related medical facility preferred but not required.
• Must have State Food Service Sanitation certification.
• Food Sanitation License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review menus prior to preparation of food and prepare timely meals and snacks according to food safety guidelines.
• Assist in planning regular and special diet menus as prescribed by the attending physician and dietician.
• Ensure food is available for preparation by cooks.
