Job summary

Arcadia Care in Springfield, IL is seeking a Cook to prepare meals in accordance with food safety guidelines and dietary requirements. The role involves reviewing menus, preparing meals and snacks on time, and assisting in planning regular and special diet menus as prescribed by the attending physician and dietician.

Ideal candidates have at least one year of dietary/food service experience; state sanitation certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• One (1) year dietary/food experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred but not required.
• Must have State Food Service Sanitation certification.
• Food Sanitation License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review menus prior to preparation of food and prepare timely meals and snacks according to food safety guidelines.
• Assist in planning regular and special diet menus as prescribed by the attending physician and dietician. Assure that food is available for preparation by cooks.
