Job summary

Hyatt Place Downtown Columbia is hiring a full-time Breakfast Attendant to greet guests and prepare breakfast items in the mornings. The role requires early shift availability, with setup by 6 AM, and a focus on friendly, efficient service in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Responsibilities include setting up the breakfast area, monitoring items every 30 minutes, restocking, bussing tables, and performing closing duties.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role.
• Must be able to come to work on time for early morning shifts (breakfast area must be set up by 6 AM).
• Present a professional demeanor, both in appearance and communication skills.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Must multitask and prioritize tasks as needed.
• Possess basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of proper use, maintenance, cleaning of industrial kitchen equipment, and food preparation.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to hotel guests in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
• Prepares cold and hot breakfast items before service begins.
• Sets up breakfast service area according to brand standards and equipment.
• Checks hot breakfast items every 30 minutes and maintains temps and stock.
• Checks cold/bakery items every 30 minutes and maintains temps and stock.
• Bus, clear and clean tables; wash utensils; clean spills; remove trash.
• Completes closing duties and restocks items; logs daily cleaning.
• Takes inventory of food and beverage items and informs management of shortages.
