Job summary

Ampact is seeking an Early Learning Tutor to support pre-kindergarten students in an Early Learning Corps program. You’ll partner with a teacher to deliver proven activities that build early literacy and math skills, in a classroom setting.

Full-time schedule supports 35 hours per week with day-time hours and weekdays only; part-time options (25 or 18 hours) may also be available. AmeriCorps stipends apply and training is provided.

• Proficient with basic computer tasks (email, online navigation).
• Dependable with a history of good attendance.

Join Early Learning Corps as an Early Learning Tutor and you’ll spend your days in a pre-kindergarten classroom to help students build skills and confidence. We’ll train you to deliver proven activities and coach you every step of the way!

How does it work? Partnering with a teacher, you’ll help enhance learning. Whether talking, reading, writing, singing, or playing with students, you’ll be helping them to build early literacy and math skills.

Essential Qualifications

By the time you begin your services with Early Learning Corps, you should be:

• Dependable and have a history of good attendance


• Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback

• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent


• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States


• Able to successfully complete a background check

Schedule

We are currently hiring for the 2026-27 school year. Positions run August 2026-June 2027.

• 35 hours per week (less in weeks with holidays or school release days)


• Daytime hours (correspond with school start and end times)


• Monday - Friday (no weekends)


• Time off on holidays and school release days

Part-time positions are also available at 25 or 18 hours per week!
