Job summary

Ampact, administering the Early Learning Corps program, seeks an Early Learning Tutor to support pre-kindergarten students in a classroom setting. You’ll deliver proven activities, be coached along the way, and help each child build confidence and a love of learning.

Position is part of a national AmeriCorps effort, with opportunities for growth, training, and education benefits as part of the package. Hours align with school schedules, January 2027–June 2027.

Qualifications

• Dependable with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online).
• Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing.
• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Position Summary

Ninety percent of a child’s brain development happens before the age of 5, and we’re on a mission to help our youngest learners start strong!

Join Early Learning Corps as an Early Learning Tutor and you’ll spend your days in a pre-kindergarten classroom to help students build skills and confidence. We’ll train you to deliver proven activities and coach you every step of the way!

Perks Package

Schedule

We are currently hiring for the 2026-27 school year. Positions run January 2027–June 2027.

• 32 hours per week (less in weeks with holidays or school release days)
• Daytime hours (corresponding with school start and end times)
• Monday-Friday (no weekends)
• Time off on holidays and school release days

Part-time positions are also available at 25 and 15 hours per week!

Pay & Benefits

Full-time AmeriCorps members receive a paycheck (stipend) every two weeks. Compensation: $19 per hour served and additional perks! Learn more.
