Amarillo College seeks a Part-time Child Care Classroom Support Assistant to help operate the Early Learning program and support the classroom teacher and staff. The role includes clerical and administrative tasks to keep the program running smoothly.

Required: High school diploma or GED; experience of at least one year in early childhood; preferred: Food Safe Manager, CPR & First Aid. Must pass background checks and meet state regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Required: One year of experience in the Early Childhood profession.
• Preferred: Two years’ experience in the Early Childhood profession.
• Preferred: Food Safe Manager, CPR and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• The Classroom Teacher Assistants for our HAGY will provide support in childcare center classrooms to children and to the Early Learning Teacher.
• Perform clerical and administrative tasks to support the operations of the assigned program/department and facilitate smooth office procedures.
• Assist staff, students, and administrative personnel and maintain classroom health and safety.
