Job summary

National Children’s Center, Inc. (NCC) is seeking an Early Learning Center Teacher Assistant in Washington, DC to support infants through preschoolers in an inclusive setting.

This full-time position runs Monday–Friday, 8:00/8:30 am to 5:00 pm/5:30 pm, with pay of $23.43/hour for CDA holders and $24.80/hour for an associate degree holder. Candidates must have a High School Diploma and a CDA certificate or AA in Early Childhood Education, and provide COVID-19 vaccination proof before the first

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and CDA certificate or AA degree in Early Childhood Education required.
• COVID-19 vaccination proof required prior to first day of work.
• Experience in an early childhood education setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the planning and implementation of classroom activities.
• Assume responsibility for the classroom when the Teacher is absent.
• Maintain appropriate cleanliness of the room and materials including strict adherence to program sanitation and procedures.
• Lesson planning for small group activities.
• Ensure that written and verbal communication with parent consistently occurs and is documented.
• Participate in staff development training activities and learning opportunities.
• Present relevant information at team meetings and parent meetings when needed.
