Job summary

The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit, located in Norristown, PA, seeks a Long-Term Substitute Occupational Therapist to work with children ages 3–5 in Early Intervention. The role runs August 24, 2026 to TBD, requiring PA OT licensure, a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred), and clearances.

Travel within Montgomery County is expected and compensation aligns with the salary schedule. Responsibilities include delivering direct/indirect services, evaluating progress, collaborating with the IEP

Qualifications

• Valid Pennsylvania state license as an Occupational Therapist (OT).
• Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred.
• Current police, child abuse and FBI Fingerprint clearances required.
• Clearance as an MA provider by the Commonwealth of PA and federal government (conducted by MCIU upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect service to children ages 3 to 5 years old.
• Evaluate and/or assess student skills during initial or re-evaluation to determine need for related services.
• Collaborate and communicate with MDE/IEP team.
• Develop, revise and monitor progress of IEP goals.
