Job summary

Meeting Street in Rhode Island is seeking a Mental Health Clinician to support infants and toddlers through Early Intervention. This full-time position involves evaluating progress, developing IFSPs with families, and coordinating with EI teams, including home visits and family-centered planning.

CPR/First Aid certification is required. Licensure options include psychology, social work, mental health counseling, or marriage and family therapy, with reliable transportation essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year related experience with infants/toddlers birth to age 5.
• Valid pediatric CPR and First Aid certification.
• EI services in child’s natural environments (home, childcare, community).
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Able to reach child’s level, climb stairs, lift and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Interpret screening/evaluation results and explain to families with health literacy in mind.
• Adapt environments and design assistive devices to support development.
• Develop and implement IFSP with the family and EI team.
• Include family throughout evaluation/IFSP process.
• Collaborate with team to plan individualized evaluation/IFSP.
• Conduct home visits to assess living conditions and parent-child interactions.
