**Looking for Home Based Providers in NYC, Long Island and Westchester**

What you'll be doing at Autism Care Partners: Autism Care Partner's COTA Program is a highly selective and backed by a long-term commitment to advancing our employees' careers through supervision, training and development that support both personal and professional growth. Our COTA program features flexible schedules, skills training, and work experience while providing services to children on the autistic spectrum. ACP is seeking Certified Occupational therapists, who are passionate about improving the lives of children and families while learning. As a COTA, you will be supervised by a Licensed OT.

Responsibilities

  • Render Occupational Therapy services to Children 0-3 with an authorized IFSP.
  • Evaluates, instructs and monitors specific functional exercise programs to increase strength, range of motion and upper extremities.
  • Asses for use of ADL equipment.
  • Works on sensory integration skills.
  • Documents progress and activities on session reports.
  • Documents progress on Quarterly progress reports.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
  • Experience working with special needs, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) etc.
  • Understanding of and ability to practice in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in providing services and scheduling.
  • Ability to work independently and be an effective multi-disciplinary team member.
  • Ability to physically adapt in response to the child's movements and play.
  • Ability to lift children 20-50 pounds when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Graduate of a program in Occupational Therapy registered by NYS or by the American Occupational Therapy Association or that is deemed equivalent
  • Certified and currently registered to practice occupational therapy in the State of NY
  • Minimum one year supervised experience in a health care setting.
