Job summary

Children’s Coalition seeks a dedicated Early Head Start educator to support infants and toddlers through effective curriculum implementation and staff development.

You will train direct service staff, observe classroom practices, and coach teams to reach professional goals, fostering quality interactions and strong relationships within the program.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or related field and commitment to infant/toddler development.

Responsibilities

• Increase effective teaching practices and intentional interactions.
• Conduct needs assessments, curriculum fidelity reviews, and CLASS observations.

Job description

Requirements

1. Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in early childhood education or a related field of study, such as Special Education, Child Development, Psychology
2. Self-directed and multitask oriented.
3. Ability to work as a team member, collaborating with colleagues as part of the Early Head Start Management team.
4. Skills in providing training to Early Head Start direct service staff and assist staff in creating professional goals and action steps to reach goals in order to improve services to infants/toddlers
5. Required to obtain Infant CLASS certification, Toddler CLASS certification, knowledge of infant/toddler curriculum, and social/emotional curriculum

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining constructive relationships with infant/toddler direct service staff and serve as a role model for best practices.
• Monitor the implementation of the infant/toddler curriculum through observations.
• Provide non-intensive and intensive training and coaching to staff based on need.
• Increase effective teaching practices and intentional interactions that promote infant/toddlers learning and development.
• Conduct and analyze needs assessments, curriculum fidelity assessments, and CLASS observations.

Salary Range: $ 19.00- $22.00 per hour
